FUNDRAISER AND CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF:
State Senate candidate Tony Hernandez is having his campaign kick-off and Taco Party Fundraiser tomorrow - Wednesday - and you're invited. It's going to be a fun time! It's at 2023 Selby Avenue from 7 pm to 9 pm. Suggested donation is $25. Hope to see you there!
PHOTO ID:
You may remember the petition drives to require use of a PHOTO ID to vote in St. Paul elections, from our precinct caucuses. If there are enough signatures collected, this issue will be put on the ballot for voters to decide - and polls and research have shown that almost everyone supports it!
The St. Paul Photo ID campaign is organized, and is having a meeting for our folks THIS Sunday, April 11th at 1 pm at O'Garas. If you're willing to help collect a few signatures, or want to know more about the campaign, please plan on attending the meeting. There are several folks from our BPOU already involved but we need more!!! Appetizers will be provided. Please let me know if you have questions, or please attending this Sunday meeting. If you're not able to attend this Sunday and still like to get more involved or could take a petition sheet, please let me know. REGULAR BPOU MEETING:
We will be holding our regular House District 64B meeting next Thursday, April 15th at 7 pm at Champps in the back room. Please come if you can! Each month new people attending. We'll be hearing updates from conventions and candidates, and starting to prepare our summer and fall campaign plan for the BPOUs.
UPCOMING CONVENTIONS AND ENDORSEMENTS:
Our Delegates and Alternates elected at the BPOU convention will be attending the upcoming 4th Congressional District convention on Saturday, April 17th to endorse a GOP Candidate to challenge Rep. Betty McCollum. They will also be attending the upcoming Republican State Convention on Thursday, April 29th through Saturday, May 1st to endorse State Candidates (Governor, Auditor, Secretary of State, Attorney General) as well as take up resolutions/changes to the Party Platform.
SARAH PALIN/BACHMANN RALLY:
There will be a rally tomorrow, Wednesday, with Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann at the Minneapolis Convention Center starting at 2 pm, with doors at 12 noon. Tickets are free.
